The Show Must Go On

As I sat in the hospital last night until 1AM watching my grandfather die I truly did not think that I would get to the gym today. My first thought was that these are the times that you take to yourself and forget about life's schedule.

My day started by discussing plans on who would do what and when the specifics would be taken care of. It was this moment that I realized that making it to the gym was still part of my life and that taking 'time to yourself' for me, meant a peaceful hour at the gym ignoring the text messages and phone calls and simply pumping up the volume of my soca energy mix. The end result was a great work out full of 45 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes of strength training. Today I hit the elliptical and the treadmill and then I headed over to do what some of my friends like to refer to as the crotch machine. I finished the workout with some crunches and weight lifting.

With the craziness that will come in the next couple of days I will feel better knowing that I was able to get a work out in today. Stay focused people! Your health deserves just as much attention as every other aspect of your life.

Today's post is dedicated to Seymour Murray Siegel...my G-pa :)
