Cardio Bonanza!

As promised I kicked my own butt today with loads of Cardio and it felt great. For once I wasn't dying of an asthma attack. I did 30 minutes on the eliptical with high resistence and glute lifts and then I spent 25 minutes on the treadmill doing intervals. My butt was engaged throughout it all and I am sure there will be many Trinidad men on the road come carnival day that will be thankful for that. Today I burned a total of 540 calories in my cardio workout alone, which is an increase from my norm so that is great positive feedback!

Post cardio I hit the weight machines and did 3 sets of 12 reps on 2 leg machines and 2 arm machines, I did a variety of core workouts including the dreaded bicycle crunch. This was just for Dwayne...the personal trainer at my gym that keeps drilling into my mind that I need to work out my core.

After my workout I hit the grocery store and followed the health rule of shopping on the outer walls of the store and steering clear and the processed packages goods. Thank god I grew up with a chef for a father because I love to cook!....sadly I love to eat as well :( looking forward to the reward of Trini doubles, roti, buss-up-shot, pholourie, big read, peardrax and spicy chicken from KFC:) lol I'm going to come back from Carnival with all the weight I have lost.
