I will start with a short recap of what went on yesterday. I was supposed to make it to a Cardio Groove class but when my sister invited me over to her house for dinner I figured ditch the class and get the free food. Totally the wrong choice for my current workout goals. The most exercise that I can post about yesterday was the 40 minutes of shoveling I did. Yes I know it's not much but it's still something!
On to the real stuff! Today I hit the gym hard after seeing my sister who is an uber fighter. She has been working out 5 or 6 days a week for 2-3 hours each time. As wicked as that is I know I don't have the time or discipline for that right now. But I did hit the gym and spent 30 minutes on a stationary bike and then headed into a Body Pump class that enjoyable kicked my butt. I know that I will feel the burn tomorrow but I am looking forward to it! It feels great to hit the gym hard and feel invigorated after a workout. The best is then getting home and craving healthy food after a workout.
I'm loving this new schedule and I hope that my workouts get more and more intense and interesting leading up to the prime purpose of all of this: CARNIVAL!!! I can't wait for the parties, the family, and the beach!
